What a perfect little place to stop! So peaceful, very well looked after and organised. Loved being so close to the river, hearing the birds and nothing else. We only had two nights here but would very happily have stayed for longer.
Loved the quirky toilet and shower sheds! So much attention to detail everywhere. Dogs very welcome and well provided for.
Loved the picnic benches provided to sit by the river and all the well stocked bird feeders and looked after plants. Arriving and staying here was a real pleasure and I would very much recommend it.

We’ve just returned from a fantastically relaxing weekend at Riverside Tourer Park. The owners John and Gill must be extremely proud of their beautiful park. The grounds are immaculate, whether that be the manicured grass, the carefully trimmed hedging and conifers (I cant even begin to guess the amount of hours that goes into keeping those neat and crisp), to the wonderfully clean and wide pitches. The privacy hedging that borders most pitches really does make for your own secluded little haven, which was definitely appreciated by our Diva Dachshunds. This was our first visit to Riverside and a first use of an adult only site....it wont be our last either, the only noise I could hear during the first day was the odd distant cuckoo and the relaxing hoot of an Owl during the night, just lovely. The river gently flowing along the site adds to the relaxing ambience and the picnic benches dotted near the river (and around the site) are a nice touch as are the bird feeders on every pitch. There is a lovely dog walk literally 3 or 4 steps from the entrance where you can meander around the local fields which our dogs enjoyed. The only downside is that we had to leave for home far too early. We absolutely loved Riverside so much so we’re right this second looking at dates when we can come back this year and next. Thank you John and Gill for allowing fellow campers to take up temporary residence in your wonderful park.

We spent 10 days at Riverside and really enjoyed our stay at the beautiful, tranquil, friendly and well run site. Could not be happier. There were bird feeders near every pitch and walking the dogs alongside the river every morning a bonus. Even the ice cream van on Saturday was a great surprise enjoyed by everyone. John and Gill were lovely friendly hosts.

Lovely place, quiet, birds, nice owners! Walked to the pub in Hesket in the evening, quiet area with nice landscapes.
We have stayed before, and will be coming back to this lovely site in the North Lakes. Thank you for having us! 😀

First time here. It's a beautiful setting. Very well kept and tidy site. Picnic tables dotted around for you to enjoy. It's so quiet and right beside the river. Lovely walk round the neighboring fields with the dog. Loving it.

Touring Caravan private Adult only site - also for Motor home & Caravan Club members. Close to riverside. Accepts well behaved dogs on leads.

Nestled in a remote area off Penrith is this little gem. Beautifully kept and privacy around the pitches. Small but accommodating toilet and shower in the 2 parts to the touring park. (OH is a big bloke and he managed)
The site also offers free range eggs/honesty box and does have wifi and a small price.
Literally on the river bank so perfect for the dogs to splash about.
1.5 mile walk to the small village or 12 miles to Penrith.
If your after a quiet, peaceful Adults only site this is a ray of sunshine.

Just had a 10 night stay. Wonderful quiet peaceful place. Privacy pitches in the millrace area are superb. Owners are always on hand should you need help. Toilet and shower huts are a very nice touch and very well equipped. Nice area with the running stream further down. Thank you for a quiet pleasant stay. Keep up the good work. Will definitely return soon.

WE DO HAVE TO WONDER WHY THE MANY SO-CALLED "PUB STOPOVERS" ARE BEING ALLOWED TO USE THEIR CAR PARKS AS AN OVERNIGHT STAY for Motor homes.
Approved Sites have to adhere to stringent spacing, health/safety/sanitary rules.
The Pub Car parks have NON of these stringent spacing, safety and sanitary measures in place.
"Nor do they undergo any form of inspection by any authority".
Important:
Please note, we have "NO" Charging points for "Electrically Powered Vehicles".
(But we "DO" have 10amp Electric Hookups on all Pitches)
A (quite unique) well appraised Free Shower and Toilet is available to all site users
At the booking stage you may be asked to pay a deposit by BACS, but, as with regular loyal clients WE WILL ACCEPT YOUR BOOKING, (WITHOUT TAKING A DEPOSIT) IN GOOD FAITH IF you are making a commitment to the arrival and departure dates you have stated to us when placing the booking. You will be liable to a charge for the full duration of your pre-booked stay if it is canceled in part or full without sufficient warning within the 7 days prior to your scheduled arrival, or during your stay, OR if you have NOT SHOWED UP. (insurance is advisable)
On the day of your arrival an allocated pitch number will be displayed alongside your name on the welcome board just outside the main entrance. Also a reserved sign will be placed on your allocated pitch bearing your name.
